Dark Ages

Stranger in a Strange Land

The Dark Ages, as Patricia Paiwonski describes them, are a period of religious distortion that explains why Foster’s New Revelation was needed. Her account makes the past a hinge between Jesus’s original teaching and the Fosterite faith she embraces in the present.

Patricia’s account of the past

Speaking to Jill and Mike, Patricia claims that Jesus preached the True Faith, but that during the Dark Ages his words were deliberately twisted, supplemented, and changed until he would no longer recognize them. She presents the period not as a neutral stretch of history but as the decisive interruption that obscured the faith’s supposed original form.

The New Revelation’s historical purpose

In Patricia’s explanation, Foster was sent to Earth to proclaim a New Revelation, straighten out the corrupted teaching, and make it clear again. The Dark Ages therefore serve as the doctrinal reason for Foster’s mission: the new revelation is framed as restoration rather than invention. Patricia offers this account as part of her attempt to explain the inner change and happiness she attributes to her faith, while acknowledging that she is not ordained and does not claim a gift for preaching.
